ACADEMIC HOSPITAL

Marmara University Medical School Foundation (MUMSF) was founded in 1985. The Academic Hospital, an affiliate of the Foundation, was established in 1997 to provide modern and high quality medical services in compliance with the world standards. It was, until then, a healthcare organization providing polyclinic services in several branches, it is now a contemporary hospital with 63 beds providing healthcare services in all branches together with diagnostics and treatment facilities.

With the support and power provided by MUMSF, Academic Hospital has always been – and still is- featured to be a private hospital with dignified academic members within its personnel pattern. Today, approximately 50 academic members most of whom are professor and assistant professor provide healthcare services within Academic Hospital. About 25 specialist physicians who are proven to be successful in their branches serve at the hospital apart from the comprehensive team consisting of academic members. There currently is being employed 217 staff at Academic Hospital except for the physicians.

Marmara University Medical School Foundation (MUMSF) dedicated the medical center on Bağdat Street in Çiftehavuzlar in the year of 2002 as per the targets to disseminate the medical services supported through the academic members and extensify the service network while Audiology Center was put into service in 2010 just next to the Private Academic Hospital. Our Medical Center which was located in Ciftehavuzlar moved to Atasehir in 2012 for ensure services in better environment to our patients.

Academic Hospital, a fully fledged general hospital, has been providing services to its patients with its professional and academic team and patient focused service understanding, quality policies, up-to-date equipment and modern infrastructure as well as medical diagnosis and treatment facilities using advanced technologies.

Academic Hospital aims to be a reliable and well known trademark with its operation rooms, visualization units, intensive care and neonatal intensive units, modern rest rooms and comfortable patient rooms equipped with the medical devices, the products of the most recent technologies and have always been on the patients’ side.

Having been adopted the dynamic management understanding and provision of medical services in accordance with the pertinent legislations in a contemporary, scientific, up-to-date and ethical manner, Private Academic Hospital obtained ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certificate in 2008. It then turned into Integrated Management System upon obtaining the OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and ISO 10002:2004 Customer Complaints Management System certificates in 2009.
